Telfair is significant for Sugarland because it will be highlighted by a 16-acre site surrounding the 1939 Central State Farm prison building that is one of the city's few historic buildings. In addition, Telfair is surrounded by many amenities such as First Colony Mall and Sugarland Town Square.
